NEVER LET THINGS GO UNEXPLORED

Why can`t I do that now? Why didn`t I try this before? Why did I leave it unexplored? These are the questions I ask myself whenever I see someone who does things I have never tried.

For example, recently I have come across a child who solved Rubik’s cube just like that. After seeing her I felt guilty that I have never even touched a Rubik’s cube in my life. The only cube I have solved ever was in the maths subject. It’s not the case for me alone. Most of the people out there who are shining in professional life would have really missed a lot of unexplored space in their personal life.

We all have times in our life which are considered as peaks, where we have achieved something and sometimes we got to be at the trough and in some moments we loved to stay comfortable at the place we are without trying anything new. Just take a white page, think for a moment, and write things which you have missed exploring during your past years or really wanted to do but circumstances were not supportive. I am sure one-page won’t be enough to write them all.

I have done the same exercise for my life, then I have decided to explore the list of things that I feel I have missed doing during my school and college days. The list spans from learning a new language to new musical instruments to sports to exploring new places and the list goes on. We all know life is short but still, we keep postponing things till the end of our life and eventually someday we go out of this place with many unfulfilled dreams. So never postpone it for a later part of life as we never know when is our later part of life comes. Instead, let us decide to fulfill our past unmet wishes now.

Don’t ever think that once time goes it’s gone forever. Though we don’t get the exact moment, we can explore things we have missed at that moment by recreating a similar one now. When a lion is brought up in a cage, the lion thinks that the cage is its world and assumes it to be happy with where it is currently, but only when it comes out of the cage and walks into a jungle it starts to understand the real world of happiness. So all of us in some stage of our life were grown up like a lion in a cage without really trying to move from our comfort zone, which we definitely regret in the later part of our life. Never end your life with things still unexplored. Have a goal for all your unfulfilled wishes and get ready to get out of your comfort zone. I am talking about simple attainable goals like learning a new sport or new language or trekking to your dream place. Whatever you have missed doing, try to have a plan and start doing it now. Remember “It’s now or never”.

How to plan and achieve:

We all have goals for the future — i.e what we want to achieve in the future -It might be to get a bungalow or a car or to become a CEO but have we ever set a goal for ourselves to do things we have missed during our past years. No right? Some would think that we could achieve those missed things through our children but have we ever thought about how we would feel if we ourselves can do that. The happiness we get from doing that on our own is immense. So, have a plan to achieve your long list of unexplored things. Select one from your list and try exploring it from this new year. If you love it, continue doing it or drop it and move to explore the next thing on your list. I have started exploring a few in the past years. This year I am spending my time daily practicing badminton. For next year my goal is to solve 3*3 Rubik`s cube & to learn basic Guitar.

Never lose that child inside you. “Try new, learn new, become a new you” that’s where the real happiness lies. 😊
